Adam C. BOULOUKOS, Ph.D., Resident Representative
Dr. Adam Charles Bouloukos (United States) is the UNDP Resident Representative for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Prior to this appointment, Adam was the Country Director of the Norwegian Refugee Council in Uganda. He served as Deputy Humanitarian Coordinator in Ethiopia (2017-2018) and Director of UNISDR in Switzerland (2015-2016) during the adoption of the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction 2015-2030, the first leg of the sustainable development agenda. Adam held numerous positions with UNOPS including as Senior Change Management Advisor in Switzerland (2016-2017), as Representative in Switzerland (2012-2014), as Director of Outreach and Partnerships in Denmark (2010-2012), as Representative in Sudan (2007-2010), as Representative/ Earthquake Response Coordinator in Pakistan (2006), and as Deputy Representative in Afghanistan (2004-2006). Adam started his international career in Austria with UNODC as Social Affairs officer then Coordinator of Research and Analysis (1995-2002) and then as Deputy Representative in Afghanistan (2002-2004). Previous to his overseas work, Adam was an instructor of criminology in the US.
Adam holds a Doctorate and Master’s in Criminal Justice from the Rockefeller College of Public Policy, USA and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Bucknell University, USA. In addition, Adam holds a Post Graduate Certificate in Management form the Edinburgh Business School, UK.
Dr. Mohammed Mudawi, Deputy Resident Representative
Over 15 years of national and international experience in international management and health fields. Holds Master’s in Public Health | Maastricht | The Netherlands. Was the Deputy Manager, Sudan National HIV/AIDS Programme (SNAP). Technical Officer in WHO Eastern Mediterranean Regional Office (EMRO), Cairo, Egypt. Head of the Service Centre and then Head of the UNDP’s flagship Stabilization Programme with UNDP Iraq. Worked in UNDP’s offices in Sudan, Nepal, and Iraq Member of UNDP’s Resident Representatives Pool since November 2018. Member of Deputy Resident Representatives since November 2014.
Ms. Mayssam Tamim, Assistant Resident Representative
Team Leader at UNDP Saudi Arabia. Over 20 years of experience in the development field. Holds Master’s in Biology | American University of Beirut | Lebanon. Worked as a faculty member at the American University of Beirut, Director of Continuous Education and, later, Special Rehabilitation Center AlNahda Society, Riyadh, and King Faisal Foundation, Riyadh
Asim Salah, Senior Programme Officer
Based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. For the last 20 years, he has supported the profile of Sustainable Development in Environment & Energy, Poverty, and ICT in UNDP Country Office with the goal of fostering development agendas and promoting social inclusion. Beyond his role in UNDP Saudi Arabia, he has also undertaken assignments in recent years to UNDP Kuwait, Bahrain, Abu-Dhabi and UNDP Libya to support enhanced programme management. Before he joined UNDP in the 1999, Mr. Salah worked in the Sudan Rural Development Cooperation. He has a background in Economics and Political Science from Khartoum University and MBA from Liverpool University.
Yassin Hassan Yassin, Programme Officer
Responsible for the development and management of a portfolio of governance projects. The work entails substantive contribution to the formulation, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of development projects relevant to socio-economic strategic planning and policies as well as urban planning and capacity development programmes for various sectors. Currently, Yassin is focusing on all dimensions of the sustainable development, with particular emphasis on providing assistance to the national development partners to implement the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and building necessary capacities to boosting such implementation over the long term, including production of quality statistics and the engagement of the private sector through CSR. Yassin holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Khartoum and a MBA from the University of Hull, UK.
Sarah AlHajri, Programme Analyst
Sarah has been working with UNDP as a program analyst since 2017. She has previously worked a program associate from May 2016 – August 2017. Experienced in the approach of sustainable development, Sarah is highly knowledgeable in the concepts and issues related to governance, youth, gender mainstreaming and women’s empowerment, social protection and inclusion. Sarah has been working with SDGs interlinkages with the Saudi Vision 2030, UNDP role in Capacity Development undertakings, role of NGOs and philanthropies in the development process, South-South Cooperation and Triangular Cooperation, drafting of concept notes and project documents, and quality assurance and oversight. Sarah holds a Bachelor's degree in Translation (King Saud University) and a Master’s degree in International Relations (Webster University)
Ms. Shereen h. Sejini, Human Resources Associate
Human Resources leader at UNDP Saudi Arabia. Over 12 years of experience in the HR field. Holds Master’s in Social Sciences | City University | London. Worked as an HR professional, head of department and HR consultant for multiple private sector entities and is a certified member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), UNDP certified People Management Programme, Leadership Development Pathway & HR linked-in Learning paths.
