Advisory Services to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
What is the project about
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) plans to sustain and promote its ongoing efforts to develop human resources and to undertake the urgent task of streamlining and simplifying its administrative procedures and processes. The present project is intended to provide advisory services to MOFA to better discharge this mandate.
UNDP is providing advisory services to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs within the framework of its efforts to develop its administrative and organizational structure. Also, the advisory services provided to MOFA in the process of preparing the Diplomatic Service Rule.
What have we accomplished so far
The Ministry’s administrative and organizational structure and human resources development were built within the framework of the national development planning (2005-2009).
The project is devising its objectives, outputs and activities for next phase. The project achieved better coordination between the various corporate specialties and activities as well as simplified administrative procedures that are targeted to remove bureaucratic complications. In addition, organizational structures were implemented in 40 Saudi foreign missions, with the focus to promote working efficiency and service delivery.
The project also developed a work plan and implemented it for effective services for the Office of the Spokesperson including instant translation services for the press conferences and capturing press conferences and updating MOFA's website accordingly.
